This radio is capable of 3 different frequency modes.
You have Ham Radio Frequency Mode, GMRS Frequency Mode and Frequency unlocked mode.
To select a mode you just need to do has follows, in all these instances we will have the radio turned off, this will reset your device:
To select Ham Radio Frequency Mode, You need to press the ‘PTT’ Button and ‘*’ Button whilst powering on the device. It will state ‘Inital Ham SYS’, Press the ‘Menu’ Button to select ‘YES’.
To select GMRS Radio Frequency Mode, You need to press the ‘PTT’ Button and ‘0’ Key whilst powering on the device. It will state ‘Inital GMRS SYS’, Press the ‘Menu’ Button to select ‘Yes’.
To select the Frequency Unlocked Mode, You need to press the ‘PTT’ Button and the ‘#’ Key whilst powering on the device. It will state ‘Inital Unlock SYS’, Press the ‘Menu’ Button to select ‘Yes’.
